Florida is located in the south east part of North America. Its main areas are Orlando, Kissimmee, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Key West, Naples, Palm Beach, Clearwater and Tampa.

It has 360 days of sunshine a year, white sands and emerald waters on its gulf shores. The main attraction is Walt Disneyworld, in Orlando and Florida on a whole attracts around 70 million visitors each year.

Flight times to Florida are around 9hrs from the UK, there are both charter and scheduled flights available all year round.

The prospect of living in Florida is certainly a desirable one, it has an excellent standard of living, world class recreational and leisure activities including Fishing, Golf and Tennis to name but a few. There are an abundance of restaurants.

There is a mix of detached properties and gated communities which have everything you would expect from a holiday complex; however these are not holiday complexes they are complete communities where you can enjoy the relaxation of having everything outside your front door.

The attractiveness of central Florida to the large number of baby boomers now buying retirement and holiday homes along with foreign homebuyers will further ensure demand in existing values in 2006. Currently there are 1275 people moving to Florida every week and that trend is expected to continue for the next 10 years.

Florida has had a property price gain of over 100% in the last 5 years and in 2005 it rose by 29%.
